Dr. Stanley A. Okoro, MD, MBA, FACS

Dr. Stanley Okoro is an internationally respected, double board-certified plastic surgeon and a key member of the surgical team at the Atlanta Gynecomastia Center. Dr. Okoro brings decades of experience in complex breast surgery, body contouring, and reconstructive procedures. His approach to gynecomastia treatment combines advanced surgical technique with a strong emphasis on safety, discretion, and long-term results for male patients in Atlanta.

Education and Advanced Training

Dr. Okoro earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College, where he developed a strong foundation in both clinical medicine and surgical principles. He went on to complete his general surgery internship and residency at Emory University Hospital, gaining extensive experience in complex surgical care and patient management.

He later completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he received advanced training in both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. This comprehensive training refined his expertise in breast surgery, body contouring, and reconstructive techniques that are central to gynecomastia treatment.

Military Experience

Following his surgical training, Dr. Okoro served in the United States Navy, rising to the rank of Commander. He was appointed Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where he treated complex combat-related injuries from Iraq and Afghanistan.

During his military service, Dr. Okoro gained extensive experience in advanced reconstruction and trauma surgery, including microvascular breast reconstruction. Dr. Greg Lee, MD, PhD, MPH

Dr. Greg Lee is a board-certified plastic surgeon with advanced training in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery and a focused interest in male aesthetics. As a member of the surgical team at the Atlanta Gynecomastia Center, Dr. Lee brings a meticulous, academically driven approach to gynecomastia surgery and male body contouring. His work emphasizes natural-looking results, balance, and long-term patient confidence.

Education and Advanced Training

Dr. Lee completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, where he also earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He went on to complete a combined MD/PhD program at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, earning his doctorate in Pharmacology while also obtaining his medical degree. During this time, he developed a strong interest in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine.

He matched into the highly competitive Southern Illinois University Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program, one of the nation’s earliest and most respected integrated plastic surgery training programs. During his six-year residency, Dr. Lee received extensive hands-on training in aesthetic surgery, including facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, breast surgery, and body contouring.

Advanced Aesthetic Fellowship

Following residency, Dr. Lee completed an ASAPS-endorsed aesthetic fellowship, further refining his expertise in cosmetic plastic surgery. As part of this advanced training, he studied under internationally recognized leaders in aesthetic and male plastic surgery.

This experience deepened his focus on facial aesthetics, male body contouring, and precision-based aesthetic outcomes.

Sarah Navarra, PA-C

Sarah Navarra is a certified physician assistant and an integral part of the clinical team at the Atlanta Gynecomastia Center. She works closely with the surgeons while also independently conducting patient consultations, managing follow-up care, and contributing directly to surgical planning. Her role allows patients to receive thoughtful, informed guidance from their very first visit through recovery.

Education and Clinical Training

Sarah completed her physician assistant training at Stony Brook University in New York. She has received extensive, hands-on training under Dr. Stanley Okoro, MD, FACS, with a strong focus on plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Prior to joining the practice, she worked in orthopedics, where she gained valuable experience in injections, procedural care, and pre- and post-operative patient management.

Role at the Atlanta Gynecomastia Center

At the Atlanta Gynecomastia Center, Sarah is deeply involved in patient care and frequently serves as a primary point of contact. She is trained to conduct initial consultations, assist with surgical planning, and first assist in the operating room.
